Craig's story was featured on MTV's True Life: I Need A Transplant. Thousands of patients with leukemia and other life-threatening diseases need life-saving bone marrow transplants, but more than 70% don't have a match in their family. Please consider becoming a registered donor to help someone like Craig!
Bone marrow donors are desperately needed nationwide. Please consider becoming a registered bone marrow donor. You can read more at the FAQ on the National Marrow Donor Program's website.
Craig's treatments are more than insurance will pay. Donations can be made at any Wells Fargo to the Craig Brandmeier Fund. You can also send support though PayPal.

Craig,
I read about your situation in the DP Times..
I know exactly what your going through…I was diagnosed 10 years ago with Hodgekins Desease…
Cancer of the Lymph System..they initially thought I had Leukemia as the symptoms are similar Hodgekins. I was stage 4 and never new it…I was running marathons and competeing in Triathelons until the day I became symptimatic like you. I to had a bone marrow transplant in additon to a bone marrow harvest. Fortunately after 12 months of chemo, 9 months of radiation and alot of positive thinking I beat the ordeal…it was not an easy journey and not one I’d want to repeat. I can tell you that your positive attitude, strong support network and belief that you will beat it make a significant difference in your outcome. I have been in remission for 10 years and am a true believer that my outlook and strong belief that I would beat the cancer were instrumental in my recovery. No doubt standard medical protocol is critical but I can tell you more times than not people in remission have told me they believe thier outlook and ability to visualize being cancer free was another important component. No doubt the way you look at your life will change…priorities become comepletely differnt and friends and family become forefront.
Hey…I wish you great success in beating this and reading down the road that you are 10 years out in remission! Keep up the “I will beat this attitude”! It makes a difference.

It was Wonderful, we carried the Banner with Craig and Kat’s picture and Craig’s story so many people read it and sent there best wishes. We THANK YOU all again for all your support and those of you who were able to join us walking. DONOR DRIVE, with the help of the City of Dana Point and The BE The Match Foundation we are having a Donor Drive on June 11, from 12noon to 7pm in Dana Point at the Community Center on DelObispo St. We need everyone to help get the work out Please. Craig,
I met your parents last weekend in Dana Point at a bike race. My mother who works with (your dad?) is hosting a team in the Relay for Life out there this weekend and I wanted to give my support. If you need anything, I’m a stones throw away in Portland, and am up there all the time. Let me know. Your parents are forwarding my contact info to you.
Take care,
John

Hi Graig,
I work with Michele and recieved her email on Tuesday about becoming a bone marrow donor.
I have worked for Staffmark a total of 9 years and no other co-worker has made an impression on me quite like Michele. I believe you are in very good hands.
I was invited back in 2000 by a client named Coleman Homes to come out for Relay For Life.
It was such a great experience I have been every year since. For the last couple years I have brought my family, my two daughters with me to campout at Cal State University. It is still rather cold in Bakersfield, but we have the best time coming together with the rest of the community and what a turn out we have!
I have never been to support a family member, until this year. I will be there in support of you and I am postive that once again you are in the best hands.
I cannot say enough for Relay For Life. They are truly a top notch organization
I look forward to becoming a bone marrow donor on Saturday and so far have recruited a car full to accompany me.
Best of luck, God Bless and keep on keeping on!
Craig,
I am a friend of Mike and Michele’s, and I also knew your brother Gary in high school. My sister also knows you from high school… Stephanie Gast. Michele forwarded me your site today and I want you to know that our entire family is on our knees praying for you and your match to be found. We will be anxiously awaiting info on the BM drive in Dana Point that you mention your parents are putting on. I would be honored to help in any way I can if you could please let them know. I can not wait to register in the hopes that I could possibly be a match for you or anyone else in the world. Keep fighting and know that there are lots of people from your home town and all over the world praying for you.
Craig,
I dont personally know you but Michele is a co-worker of mine. She shared your story with me one day when we were together. I could tell by the passion in her voice how much she truly cares about you and your fight. You have many people that love and support you. I will share this with as many people as I can in hopes that your donor will be found. It is my hope that you are blessed with a match so you can begin to build a wonderful future with your fiance. Hang in there and keep the faith. I too am going through a similar situation with my husband with his 5th reoccurance of cancer. While his is not as critical at this point the hope is the same. Stay strong.
