Craig has been writing off and on at the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society message boards. He quickly won our hearts, friendship and support.

I am so sorry to learn this brave young man lost his battle. He gave me a lot of hope for our future.

My prayers for comfort, peace and strength for your family in the days to come.

    Blessings

I had met Craig a few times with the mustang club here in San Diego. He always seemed like a good guy and ready and willing to help where needed.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family. He is in a better, pain free place now. While we mourn his loss, I find a bit of solace in that.

I did not know Craig but I leave a pray for him and his family. I also urge each one of you to become a bone marrow donor. This is so simple. Please don’t let what happened to this family happen to another…possibly your own! PLEASE!

Don’t delay, by weeks end, become a donor.

God Bless you Kat and Craig’s parents, I know this has been a long and painful journey…Craig did not give up he simply let go and entered a place of rest, I truly believe Craig is an angel with a mission he will always be with you. I don’t know you only through David Whiting’s story in the OCRegister and Justin TV. May peace and faith be with you forever, Craig will always be teaching you.

Craig! I cannot believe this has happened. I am so sorry to your family for their loss. I was about to leave for college when I first found you on justin tv. I was so inspired and in awe by your positive attitutude. I will take this with me not only to college but everywhere I go for the rest of my life. I love when you would do crab mail, talk about tv shows, eat candy and just keep conversations going.

    dear kat,
I found this site on a link of one of my coworkers on facebook, and am so sad to hear about Craig. I was one of the nurses who took care of you guys on 14k, and although I am living across the world now, I still think about my former patients and families and mourn for you too. It was such a pleasure to get to work with you both, and I hope you know how much everyone on 14k cared about you guys and felt privileged to be able to care for Craig. my thoughts and prayers are with you now.
    love gretchen

Kat, I am so, so, sorry for you and your family. My heart aches for all the people we have met and grown to care so much about that have had to go through so much. I hope that when our time comes, we will remain as strong. It’s been a really crappy way to meet some really wonderful people. You’re both embedded in my heart.

I only know Craig – and his beloved family – through his courageous portrayal in MTV’s True Life, but like so many others, that was enough to create a deep place in my heart for you.

I have been following his journey – and his grace – since then, and have been equally inspired and saddened by his battle.

Just 10 days ago, my uncle was diagnosed with AML, and is undergoing a very rough time in the hospital. As I pray for him, and send him my love, I do for Craig and all of his loved ones.

    dear brandmeier family,
although i don’t know you personally, ive been watching craig on justintv everynight for the past six weeks. i have lost two family members to cancer this past year and craig’s humor, positive perspective, energy and enthusiasm have absolutely amazed me. thank you for sharing his story with all of us, for encouraging him to broadcast on justintv, and for allowing strangers (like myself) to feel a part of your family and a part of the most intimate moments of his struggle. i am forever changed by him. what an amazing family you have. my thoughts and prayers are with you.
