HEY CRAIG & KAT & JUDY & BRAD & FAMILY…
WOW, I MISS YOU GUYS. NOT ABLE TO GET BACK TO CALIFORNIA VERY OFTEN NOW, BUT MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU, YOUR NEW WIFE AND FAMILY. HOW FORTUNATE YOU ARE TO HAVE THE STRONG FAMILY SUPPORT GROWING UP AND NOW, MOST ESPECIALLY. THE NETWORK OF PROPLE WHO LOVE YOU GUYS IS ENORMOUS AND WHAT A TREMENDOUS IMPACT YOU HAVE MADE FOR THE STRENGTH AND CHARACTER YOU HAVE DISPLAYED FROM MOMENT ONE THAT YOU KNEW ABOUT YOUR ILLNESS. THE AWARENESS ABOUT BECOMING A DONOR IS VERY FAR-REACHING AND SO MANY LIVES HAVE BEEN TOUCHED BY YOU AND THIS PROGRAM HAS GAINED SO MUCH SINCE YOU BECAME OUR DONOR ICON. GOD BLESS YOU, BUDDY, IT IS AN HONOR TO KNOW YOU.
Love ya Craig and Kat…See ya guys when you get back. You two are the best.
Thank you for sharing your story with the world. By doing that you’ve been helping so many people by educating them and more than anything saving lives. You truly are an unforgettable person.
I saw you on True Life and was inspired by you and your wife’s courage. Thank you for sharing your story. My brother-in-law was recently almost diagnosed with a blood disorder that would require a transplant to have chance at survival and at that time my husband and I registered with the national donor registry and were amazed at how easy it was and how we hadn’t known about it before. What you’ve shared will cause many others to register and will help prolong or save lives. God bless you and your family.
I am praying for you and your family. I am humbly touched by watching you. I am thankful for coming into your show. I am praying for you! God bless you all. Wish I could Help!
You are truly an inspiration, god bless you Craig!

Dear Craig ~
From long ago at DHHS, I watched an incredible young man commence “the next journey in his life.” As your Academic Advisor, I appreciated your brightness, attentiveness, and overall zest for life…and that of your family’s, also. As a person, I enjoyed your wit, kindness, and ability to achieve under stress. ALL these qualities have enabled you to reach this pinnacle of your life…and have blessed you with “the gifts” you have so freely shared with so many others. God bless you always and your family….
Craig:
May you see God’s light on the path ahead
When the road you walk is dark.
May you always hear,
Even in your hour of sorrow,
The gentle singing of the lark.
When times are hard may hardness
Never turn your heart to stone,
May you always remember
when the shadows fall—
You do not walk alone.
God Bless you – he has given you the fight to help others- I will sign up and know Jesus loves you!
God bless you man. you are a very funny and cheerful man and deserve better. from what ive seem and heard from you. you are a very fun a loving guy!
Hi Craig and Kat,
I am a nurse at OHSU, and I took care of you last fall when you were in the Medical ICU. It was great to meet you and follow your story through MTV true life and this blog. I wish you all the strength and peace in your following journey. It was an inspiration to meet you two (and your family) and hear your story. You have definitely left a positive imprint on this world.
Craig, I have been following your journey for quite some time now and you are truly inspiring.
Last nights broadcast made me cry (from LAUGHING so hard). you are such a good man with super high spirits.
I wish you a lifetime of peace and love.
Hi Craig, I saw your True Life episode and It really touched me. I’m only 15 and seeing the strength that you have makes me believe that you will survive a long and wonderful life no matter what the doctors say. I am definitely praying for you and your family! God Bless and my heart goes out to you, your wife, and our family.
Dear Craig,
My name is Marla South. Perhaps you remember us from the Dana Point gang. I have always admired your family and the way you are all handling this fight for your life is an inspiration to all. I truly send my love and compassion from my family to yours. Thank you for sharing your stories to help others. Because of you I will continue to support and donate to the cancer foundation. You are blessed with the most amazing family. My love to you all.
Hi Craig, I’m your cousin Jennifer’s friend and I’ve been reading her updates about you on her facebook. I just wanted to say it seems like you’re a wonderful man and I’m so sorry to read this news. I wish you and your family all the best! I’ve never met you and don’t know you, but people like you are inspiring and you deserve amazing things.
Craig, You won’t remember me but watching you grow through the years as a boy into a man, then following on this journey with you and your family, you “schooled” me a way only wise and fabulous men can. Your wife too. Kat, you have been and will continue to be in my prayers as well as those of my family. You have a wonderful family. They will always be there for you. May God’s strength and comfort surround you through these even yet more difficult days to follow.

i watched your true life episode today and saw this website on the comments. i was so moved by your life and how happy you and your wife are together, i can say i will miss you and i dont know you. you have inspired me to be a bone marrow donor and i am only 15. sometimes god puts examples in our lives and you are an amazing one! Hope all is well, and take care.
Craig, we’ve never met, but as an employee of CHM I have followed your amazing and heartbreaking story. Watched the MTV video, etc. This falls under the category of “Life is NOT fair”. You have handled yourself with grace, maturity and class. Your beautiful wife is losing more than a husband, a wonderful and caring friend. You will be forever in my prayers as you continue on the last leg of your journey – may God give you and Kat the strength and peace of heart you will need to go through the next days.
Craig,
you have touched my heart. Seeing you in the clinic always makes me smile. Your story will help so many people. I have praied for you and your family and will continue. Stay strong hun. BIG HUG!
Your medical assistant,
Beetah
Craig,
You and your family are so brave to share your message. I just saw the True Life episode and know how hard you fought this terrible thing in your body. With love and support around you and the will to fight as hard as you can…I’m sad to hear the news you just received. Thanks to you, Kat (also so courageous to help share your message) and your family for teaching everyone a lesson about how precious life is. Thanks for being such an inspiration, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your loved ones.
Hi Craig and Kat, Just sending this note to say we’re still praying for you both and hoping that God will give us all the strength we need to fight our battles and accept what is His will for us. (sometimes not so easy) The bonds we have made will always be there even if we never cross paths physically again. Love to you both.
